Thank you for signing up with us. We are Ronnie and Diane Capp, the Booshways for the 2018 Alafia River Rendezvous.
Ronnie and I have been Florida Frontiersmen for almost 11 years! Most of you know us as the Wood Chiefs and those crazy PIRATES! ROFL! But in 2018 we will also be your Booshways! We are SO excited, and wish Rendezvous was NEXT WEEK!! But alas it is not and we ALL have to wait!! So I guess we will just tell you some of the things we have planned for Alafia 2018. Lets start by telling you our theme and motto.
Our theme is "Florida History." We thought it was a little strange that we ALL come to Florida every year and have this HUGE wonderful event and yet no one has ever celebrated Florida History. We want to remember all of those who founded this beautiful State…like the Spanish, British (of course) Seminole and Creek Indians, and YES even those CRAZY PIRATES!!
Our Motto is "NOT ALL TREASURES ARE SILVER AND GOLD." We believe that FAMILY and FRIENDS are the TRUE treasures in this life and we wanted to have a HUGE celebration with ALL of you in 2018 to prove it.
We also want to tell you about our Segundo's. We have a very SPECIAL pair of Segundo's this year. First is Timothy Hull who has been a Florida Frontiersman since he was a child so he knows a lot about Alafia, and second is Chris Beisler who has been a Florida Frontiersman for 9 years and owns the Der Kraut Haus restaurant at Vous. They both are GREAT assets to our club and we know they will be AWESOME Booshways in 2019.
We have already started planning SO many things! Make sure to read your Newsletter every month. We will keep you informed of all the NEW and WONDERFUL things we are adding to Alafia River Rendezvous 2018 once they are confirmed!! Our Vous is going to be different and exciting so be sure to plan ahead because you won't want to miss this one!!
Key Dates are: Early set up January 17th - 19th, 2018
Rendezvous January 20th - 27th, 2018
Hope to see you ALL there! Stop by the Wood Pile and say “Hi” or "Ahoy Matey"
Your Humble Servants,
Ronnie and Diane Capp
